Children's book illustration
I don't believe in fate.
However, I do believe in serendipity (or at least now I do).
As a lifelong aspiring children's illustrator I was accosted by an author friend of mine. "You're an artist Graham, could you help me out? The illustrator for my latest children's book isn't involved anymore. Would you be able to step in?"
I thought about this (for a split second) and slowly nodded.
"Great" she said. I have a number of children's stories, I just need an illustrator."
"Can I read them?" I said (pretending to sound cool).
They were brilliant.

The illustrations above are from 'My Daddy is better than your Daddy' which is currently in development.
It tells the story of two children who are arguing over which Daddy is the best. The further the story goes on, the more ridiculous the claims become.

Sneak preview!
Currently in development is another children's book entitled "The Granny Catalogue". It tells the story of a boy who puts his granny up for sale, before trying to find a replacement from a catalogue.
